Yesterday I went to an Airtel (my mobile phone provider) shop to sort out the ongoing problem with my mobile phone:
Hi I have a problem with my phone
What is the problem Madam?
The same problem continues, please pull up this reference number
Your account is active Madam
I know it's active but I have a problem
There is no problem Madam, your account is active
Let me see (I turn the screen around) and say, please open one of these service problems
That reference number is closed Madam, problem is fixed
No it's not
It is closed Madam
Well reopen it
No madam problem is fixed
It's not
Ok let's open a new complaint
Sure Madam what is problem
Same as last time
How did they fix it Madam?
They didn't
They must have it's closed
I still can't receive or make calls
Madam, when you are out of range you cannot make or receive calls
Listen, I'm know that, I'm not stupid, this morning my husband was sitting right next to me, I had full access/range and my phone DID NOT ring
I am ringing your number Madam it is ringing
It is spasmodic
I am ringing your number Madam there is no problem
There IS STILL a problem, that is why I came today, please open the previous complaint
It's closed Madam
I know it's closed, please open one exactly the same
If it's the same problem you should ring them to reopen it Madam
That's what I asked you to do when I walked in here
It's a technical problem we can't fix it you must ring Apple
I rang Apple and had 2 one hour conversations with a "senior genius" in Singapore and the same problem happens in any phone i put this sim in and they replaced my sim so, it's either my settings or my account
Can you check my settings please
(he has a quick glance at my ph) settings look ok Madam
You didn't even go into the settings option!!!!
You need to ring 121 for account problems Madam it's not a settings problem
Can't you ring them while I'm here
Yes Madam, your good name is Mr Dean yes?
No, that's my husband
Then he must ring as the account is in his good name.
Not unbelieveably I left at this point!
Did you wear your "I'm with Sir" shirt?
