19th Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony

FINALLY, DELHI DAZZLES!!!!


That was the headline on the front page of the Times of India on October the 4th!

By most accounts, it was fabulous... spectacular even.  Of course there were some hiccups along the way but hey this is India!!!!


There were too many worries that kept us from attending, and while we have no regrets on our decision, because it was the right decision for us, I guess there will always be a small part of us that, with the bnefit of hindsight, regrets not being part of it.


So the games have begun and we wish everyone the very best.


ps; Delhi is the cleanest it's ever been, so come visit now before it reverts!!!!!

as if things aren't already bad enough for Comm Games officials!

this article says the Scottish officials are worried the street dogs pose a threat to athletes ... personally, I'd be more worried about testing the showers to make sure the athletes don't get electric shocks while showering (as is quite common here!)
