The national passtime

Ya know it doesn’t take long before you notice that, on every street, anywhere in India, someone’s asleep. I could easily take enough photos to fill a picture book .. and I might just do that ya know!

Emmaline thinks it's rude to take photos of people sleeping, whereas think that anything done in public is up for grabs! Whaddya think?

So, whether it be on icecream vans, on the pavement, on a cart, in a rickshaw here are the photos to prove that you can, indeed, sleep anywhere.....

in the spice markets, perhaps after a hard morning's work

in front of a shop on the main road in Chandi Chowk (Old Delhi)

anywhere you damn well please, even the middle of the road!

on your cart

can you see him?

in desperate need of a chiropractor after this little siesta!

or you can sleep while your 2 year old occupies himself under a flyover on the Ring Road at morning peak hour!

and finally through Diwali celebrations with fireworks going off like you wouldn't believe
